8:15 Stories

Jason

Jason was well-liked in his community—charming, fun-loving, and always surrounded by friends. Living at home with his mom and two siblings in the city, he didn’t have a stable job and struggled to find direction. Despite his social success, Jason felt restless and longed for something more.

In search of excitement and belonging, Jason became involved with a group that seemed to offer the thrill he craved. What started as casual fun soon turned into a series of bad decisions. He made a small mistake while helping the group—something that spiralled into a dangerous situation. Jason was soon in debt to people who threatened his safety and well-being, and he had no idea how to get out.

In the midst of this difficult situation, Jason was connected to The 8:15 Foundation, a local non-profit that helps people in tough situations find hope and acceptance in Jesus. Without hesitation, they stepped in—helping to pay off his debt and offering renewed church connections and a fresh start. The 8:15 Foundation aided in fostering a connection between Jason and a local church, where Jason found support, guidance, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Today, Jason’s life can still be difficult but is full of hope. And this young man is completely different. He’s free from the fear and pressure of his past, and he’s actively involved in serving his church. Through the foundation’s help, family support, and caring mentors, Jason found healing, direction, and a new community.

Thanks to the work of The 8:15 Foundation and their supporters, Jason is now living a life of faith, service, and redemption.
